William Bell photographed Suzy Parker at the beginning of her career. The William Bell Estate Archive contains large and medium format transparencies as well as 16mm film clips. None of these have been previously printed, published or shown publicly. Notice of the availability of special, limited editions will be posted.
Test shots and a 1955 T-Bird
Around the time of the visit to Dorian Leigh’s Pennsylvania farm, William Bell shot a number of test shots that Suzy Parker used at the start of her eventually extraordinary cmodelling and acting career. Bobbi remembers the Parker traded her first edition 1955 Ford Thunderbird to her dad in exchange for his photography.
Bell skied well into his 80’s and held a life-long love of cycling… It’s interesting to see how his cherished life activities show up in these shots. His grandson, James, works in the cycling industry.
